Sibling Safari

One month to go until sweet Rossetter arrives! Today we went to the hospital for a "Sibling Safari." The lady that ran the show was great and got all of the little kids engaged in talk about their new babies and took us all for a tour of the hospital. They talked about what toys are ok for babies and each sibling got to practice holding their new baby by holding the baby doll. Now we all have an idea of what our digs will look like when baby Dario arrives.

Things we're looking forward to during our hospital stay...
When the kids come and visit Baby Dario we can call room service for the "sibling special" and they will bring up cupcakes so that they can sing Happy Birthday to the little man and enjoy a sweet treat.

They send you home with a lasagna dish on the day you're discharged

Homemade cookies every afternoon....yes please!

The lady in charge of the safari asked the kids to draw a picture of what their families will look like when their new baby arrives. Carter got right after the crayons and drew 2 or 3 different pics. Dreyton decided to tell me what to draw and we drew stick figures one by one. First he had me draw daddy with his racing hat, then mommy with a pony tail holding daddy's hand, and then Dreyton and Carter. And then he say's, "And now you have to draw Garrett!" Garrett is Justin's cousin from Ohio who moved in with us a couple of months ago and when we came back I told him, "You're official! You've make the family picture!" So sweet of Dre to include G-Bear! I did have to remind him about the baby and ask where he wanted to put the little guy:)

Carter's early person drawing. A head with arms...not to shabby!

So fun to think like a 3 year old...a hat for Daddy, pony tail for Mommy, include Garrett...and oh yea The Baby!! He will find out soon enough the impact of that tiny sweet baby!
