Lots of nesting, filling drawers with sweet baby clothes, and getting that big "sprinkle" diaper basket loaded!
And so ready to meet this sweet baby boy! Here's how things are going at 38 weeks with baby "Dario"
-Cravings- the only thing that I have been craving is carrot cake. I did like carrot cake pre Dario but I would never eye up the slices at the store and put one in the cart! My co-workers had a shower for me and I had a lady make me a whole pan of carrot cake for me, probably didn't need a whole pan but it was amazing!
-Clothes etc.- I am down to maybe three outfits that are acceptable to wear in public. And I'm so close to the end that I refuse to buy more maternity clothes. So we're just going to swap the outfits and put on the comfy sweats and Justin's t's at home
-Exercise- I finally made it to the pool last week and wondered why I waited so long! Gravity is taking its toll on this little body and it was so nice to just kick board back and forth in the lap lanes.
-Sweet baby D- According to all the doctors visits in the past month we're both doing well and there's no reason to think he'll come earlier than Nov. 1st. I always joke that I'm ready whenever he is but really we're holding out until Manga and Papa arrive to help out with Dre and Carter and meet this little guy.
-Names- We've been going round and round with names since the time we found out this was a sweet baby boy at 16 weeks! When we were at the 100th Indy this year I told Justin we should name him after the winner. When JR was ahead that didn't seem so difficult since we could just come up with a "J" first name. Then when it was Dan Wheldon I quickly told Justin, "I don't like the name Daniel!" So in the last month we had been settling in on the name Pierce Wheldon Rossetter. Cute for a little boy, strong for a grown man. Then came the accident at the Las Vegas Indy race this past weekend where Dan Wheldon died in horrific crash. Justin wasn't sure if he wanted to stick with the middle name but after a couple of days of hearing the story in the news, hearing about him and his family on KLove, and just letting the emotions settle we're going to keep our original name.
We can't wait to meet you baby Pierce Wheldon Rossetter!! Keep cooking until your Manga Papa arrive than you have the green flag!

I love Pierce Wheldon Rossetter too...both sweet baby and name....but I thought Dre told me the name was going to be Jeff Gordon Rossetter?
You are looking wonderful Shannon, with your big beach ball baby bump!
We will be there in just 9 days, but no worries if you go earlier...I know plenty of loving folks who will help!

Love ya pregnant Mom & congrats on name decision...I agree to stick with Wheldon with all his positive personality traits. You'd best begin the process of explaining to Dre his nickname was Dario & birthname of Pierce! We'll love him with any name + 4! Blessed almost birth day. xxxxxooooo Aunt B
