Field Day was quite the success. They rescheduled the big day because of rain but pretty sure the forecast for the rain day was 100% chance of rain, it's been one of those months! Good thing is they only had a few sprinkles and were able to get in all of the rotations. Kids enjoyed being outside with their classmates. All first graders wore yellow, which meant neon green since most kids don't have yellow, and Dre couldn't find yellow so he wore red. Nice because as I was walking back and forth from one kiddo to the other I could find him easily!
Dre after the "opening ceremonies." They actually had the band play the national anthem and had a torch run. It was pretty legit!
Carter's first event was the half mile and Pierce and I were in the middle of the athletic fields as the kids made their one big loop. Low and behold Carter passed up all the girls to get first place! I saw her pink jacket flapping in the wind as she crossed the line. She was proud of that black ribbon! Her class buddies Kaitlyn and Hannah
Dribbling station. The 6th graders get to run the stations so it makes it fun for the younger kiddos.
Dre won a ribbon at the 50 yard dash. Here he is posing with his #1 fan:)
And here come all the boys in a free for all!
