What's new?

During this phase of toddler-hood Justin and I swear that each day is simply the best. Then tomorrow comes with even more joy. How is that possible? Dreyton and Carter continue to become more and more independent and keep us running most of the day.

At the park Carter now climbs up to the top of the highest swirly slide all by herself and squeals with delight on the way down, smiling from ear to ear. I had a thought this morning at the park, "I can't believe my 15 month old can do this all by herself!" Dre on the other hand loves to climb up to the top but we ride down the slide together, he's not to far off from leaving me in the dust! Now I can actually push Dre on the swing while Cater slides and I don't have random moms and dads give Dre the sympathy push while I'm spotting Carter. Dre is happy!

They're both mastering eating by themselves- half of the time with utensils, half without.

The best part is that they're getting away from the "parallel play" stage and actually playing together. They love to chase each other around the house and get those big gut laughs going.

"Let me hit you back girl, my hot dog's getting cold."

Dre- "Note to self, don't let Carter pick out your jammies, she might be color blind!"

Training camp Day One- Tackling dummies

I believe that Old MacDonald actually owned one of these farms!

Priceless life lesson #298 by Uncle Kyle- "How to make Yucca"

God bless baby pools!

Just practicing for when Daddy lets us drink from our big kid cups in our chairs...

Dolls or cars, what's a girl to do?
