Miss Carter Lee. This sweet girl has had her rather large tongue hanging out of her teeth for as long as Justin and I can remember. One of my favorite pics of her when she was 18 months has her tongue sticking out of her teeth as she smiles that big sweet smile.
Enter Speech Therapy. Since we don't live close enough to the infamous Jenna Rayburn we had to find a local speech therapist to get Carter to keep her "snake in her cage" when she uses the letter's "S" and "L". We visit with Miss Sarah once a week and Carter has responded so well and is diligent about doing her homework. She loves going to see Sarah on Thursdays to play games and look in the giant mirror, this girl is in heaven!
Dre and Pierce love to help Carter with her homework during the week. Dre will tell me, "Mom, that word has an 'L' so it will be tricky for Carter." And then he'll look at her and say, "OK Carter, Llll-exie. Keep your tongue on your teeth." What a coach! Pierce loves to mimic all the words she has to practice. His favorite is "Lay" as he yells "YEAH" with his tongue out of his mouth...of course!
Not the pic I was looking for but still, that tongue was always out!
