Lakeside Family Outing...

By participating in the summer reading club at the library the kids earned passes to a local amusement park. We received them days before they were to expire so we enjoyed a weekday evening on the kids rides. The place has not changed a bit since I went as a kid and they have done a great job preserving the signs for the big rides that look to date back to the '50's. Dre enjoyed the race cars the most (naturally!) and Carter like the roller coaster.

Carter's favorite was the mini roller coaster and the second time she rode it she got brave an put her hands up in the air. Dre had this sweet look of, "I'm really not so sure about these fast rides but Carter's OK so I guess I'm OK." I can see this trend continuing as they grow up together.
