San Diego!

What can be more fitting for our 400th post than a recap of a wonderful family vacation to San Diego. We spent a long Labor Day weekend enjoying lots of down time in one of the most beautiful cities we've ever had the pleasure of visiting. I would love to say we spent every day at the beach with sand between our toes but we actually found ourselves swimming in the outdoor pool with the view of the bay and downtown. The kids couldn't get enough pool time and we didn't complain!

First thing we did when we got to Coronado was grab a sandwich and take it to the beach, not a bad lunch spot!

We had a to wait a bit to check into our room so we enjoyed some pool time. This was our little haven during our stay, the kids loved their puddle jumpers and were fish in the water.

The hotel was right along the San Diego bay so we enjoyed watching all of the boats going by. Big ships, little boats, navy boats...lots of activity on the water.

Carter's one request the minute we landed in San Diego was to take a boat ride. We had a little time to spend before the ferry boat arrived so the kids enjoyed playing along the bay. Once we boarded the boat and got going toward downtown the kids were almost lulled to sleep! We got to the other side and just stayed on the boat to head back for the 10 minute return trip.

We met my aunt Marcia in San Diego and enjoyed time with her friends Marv and Linda who live in a beautiful home on the island. Marcia and Linda enjoyed being "Grandma's for the weekend" and couldn't get enough of getting Dre and Carter to giggle and laugh.

Night night San Diego! Hope to be back soon!
