The National Western Stock Show

The Stock Show and Rodeo is a Denver must for the month of January. The Rodeo is one of our favorite events but it's a little late in the evening and would require two antsy toddlers to sit for greater than 30 seconds. So instead we took the kids around the National Western complex to look at all the farm animals and check out the petting zoo. They have recently become very interested in "nay-nay's" so much to their delight we saw many horses the minute we stepped out of the car. Carter's genuine squeal of "NAY-NAY!" got our trip off to a great start.

"Look Bubba! Real live nay-nay's!"

The kids are sizing up the sheep for next year's muttin bustin

Dre was trying his hardest to get through this fence to play with the playful little pig

Carter's sheer joy to find the sole pig among all those goats

Dre was a bit more timid at the petting zoo

As a parting gift, Dad bought us each a set of farm animals. Countless hours of entertainment!

Aww thanks for sharing your day. Can see the excitement in Carter's tightly clenched fists. Dre is enjoying his farm animals but still holding fast to his cooking spoon..or is he thinking of animal stew? xo Aunt B
